Phillip Pennartz and Tina Pennartz Killed, Emily Pennartz and Four Others Injured in Alvord Head-On Accident

 
ALVORD, TX (November 5, 2024) — Two people, Phillip Jacob Pennartz and Tina Marie Pennartz, died in an accident on Saturday, October 12.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at about 9:17 p.m. on Highway 287 near Hubbard Street.
 
The accident happened when a vehicle driving north failed to negotiate a curve and then lost control. After that, it went across the median and collided head-on with a second vehicle.
 
Two passengers in the vehicle that lost control suffered fatal injuries due to the collision. Responding officers pronounced them dead at the scene. Authorities identified them as 58-year-old Phillip Jacob Pennartz and 54-year-old Tina Marie Pennartz, of Wichita Falls.
 
Paramedics airlifted the driver, 25-year-old Emily Marie Pennartz, and passenger 6-year-old Trace Pennartz, to Fort Worth hospitals. Both suffered serious injuries.
 
Emergency responders also airlifted the occupants of the other vehicle. They identified them as 36-year-old Bryan Rahm, 40-year-old Adam Brooks, and 38-year-old Carlton Sherman. All three sustained serious injuries.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
