Fatal Aurora Pedestrian Accident on Chambers Road near East Colfax Avenue

 
AURORA, CO (November 5, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Chambers Road on October 8.
 
According to the Aurora Police Department, the accident occurred on Chambers Road, just north of East Colfax Avenue, at about 8:25 p.m.
 
Aurora Police said the unidentified man tried to cross Chambers Road mid-block, outside of the crosswalk. Then a Chevrolet sedan struck him.
 
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and died from his injuries before paramedics could transport him to the hospital.
 
The driver remained at the scene. Police do not believe speed or intoxication contributed as a factor in the accident.
 
Officers closed Chambers Road for about two hours during clean-up and investigation.
