Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Highway 99 in Vancouver

 
VANCOUVER, WA (December 13, 2023) – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on Highway 99 on December 2.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Northeast 82nd Street around 12:44 AM. Based on a report, a witness called to report a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on the northeast side of the highway.
 
In addition, the witness reported that the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.
 
By the time first responders reached the scene, the pedestrian died due to severe injuries. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kind.
