GRANITE BAY, CA (December 19, 2022) – Patrick Gainer, Paul Hammack, Karan Pannu, and Jerry Cepel all died after a fiery car crash on Brackenbury Way and East Roseville Parkway on Wednesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 9:20 p.m. near the Granite Bay Golf Club at East Roseville Parkway and Brackenbury Way. Based on reports, the white Mercedes CLS was heading east on East Roseville Parkway when it swerved off the road.

After that, the vehicle crashed into a tree near Brackenbury Way and crashed north due to the impact. The side of the vehicle ended up hitting another tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire.

CHP said that the vehicle was driving past the speed limit at the time of the crash.

Authorities identified the occupants as 65-year-old Gainer, 53-year-old Hammack, 45-year-old Pannu, and 61-year-old Cepel of Roseville. All of the victims died at the scene.

At this point, CHP will continue to investigate whether drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.

However, no other information is known at this time.
