Patricia Castro Dies in Two-Car Crash in Denton

 
DENTON, TX (April 18, 2023) – The Denton Police Department identified 28-year-old Patricia Castro as the victim who died in a crash in the 8400 block of West University Drive on April 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened near Cottonwood Lane around 7:33 PM.
 
Based on a report, a pickup truck and a sedan were traveling westbound at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the pickup hit the sedan, causing the car to hit a power pole.
 
As a result, Castro, a passenger in the sedan, died at the hospital.
 
A 10-year-old suffered critical injuries in the incident. A 62-year-old woman who was driving the sedan suffered minor to moderate injuries while the man who was driving the pickup truck was not hurt.
 
The investigation is active and ongoing. As of now, no other details are available.
