Oscar Monreal Dies in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 21, 2022) – 31-year-old Oscar Armando Monreal of Stockton was killed after a vehicle hit him on Jackson Road on December 19.

According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, the collision happened around 5:30 a.m. on eastbound Jackson Road, near Sunrise Boulevard. Based on reports, a white Toyota Tacoma was heading east when it struck Monreal, who was walking in the lane.

Authorities identified the victim as Monreal. He suffered fatal injuries and later died.

However, the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries. CHP confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Speed, alcohol, and drugs were not believed to have contributed to the accident. Further investigation was carried out.
