Three Sisters Dies in Hutchinson County Car Crash

HUTCHINSON COUNTY, TX (December 21, 2022) – Three sisters died in a single-car crash on RM 1319 on Thursday evening, December 8.

18-year-old Madison Harris, 16-year-old Kaitlyn Harris, and 14-year-old Jeslyn Harris, of Sanford, were killed around 7:15 p.m. in the crash on Ranch to Market 1319, approximately two miles northwest of Borger.

According to the Department of Public Safety, preliminary reports revealed that 18-year-old Harris was driving a Jeep Wrangler headed northbound on the road when it approached a curve.

According to DPS, Madison was driving at an unsafe speed for a curve in the roadway and lost control of the Jeep. It rolled multiple times before landing in a field on its wheels.

DPS officials say the 14-year-old was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected.

Madison, as well as Kaitlyn and Jeslyn, died at the scene, police said.

A GoFundMe account was set up for anyone who would like to donate to the Harris’ surviving family.
