Legend Hayes Fatally Struck in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 16, 2024) — A one-year-old boy identified as Legend Hayes died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday, April 7.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the incident took place near a townhome complex on 48th Street and Broadway Road shortly after 3:00 p.m.
 
Officials said the accident happened when a family member of the boy moved the vehicle after arriving from an errand. That is when they struck the toddler.
 
The family member told officers they had previously seen the boy inside their home before the accident happened.
 
Family members and police officers administered medical aid to the boy. Then they transported him to the hospital where he died.
 
As of writing, there were no reports of arrests made.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
