TYLER, TX (September 11, 2023) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a car crash on Toll 49 on September 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 31 West. Based on a report, a passenger car and a truck hauling cargo were traveling near the intersection and crashed in the lanes.
 
As a result, the driver of the passenger car suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews took the driver of the truck to the hospital for treatment.
