ROUTT COUNTY, CO (May 8, 2024) – Officials confirmed that one person died in a crash on Highway 40 on April 25.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at County Road 50 at 4:48 PM. Based on a report, there was hail all over the road.
 
It was not clear how two vehicles collided in the lanes.
 
As a result, the sole occupant of one of the vehicles suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
