One Killed, Two Injured in Crash on Leadership Parkway [Reno, NV]

Fatal Single Car Crash on Leadership Parkway in Reno

 
RENO, NV (January 23, 2024) – The Reno Police Department confirmed that one person died in a crash in the 3000 block of Leadership Parkway on January 14.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at approximately 10:44 PM. Based on a report, the victim was in a vehicle traveling eastbound on the road before the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control and overturned several times. The impact ejected three of the car’s five occupants, including the victim.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
Police responded with the Reno Fire Department and REMSA. They reported that crews took two others to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Officers suspected speed to be a factor in this crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
