CONCORD, CA (August 22, 2022) — A person was killed following a three-vehicle crash on Monument Boulevard and Lacey Lane on Wednesday afternoon, August 17.

The fatal collision, which was reported to officials at about 5:53 p.m., took place at the intersection based on a social media post of the police.

Authorities did not disclose the details leading up to the crash nor the factors surrounding it. In addition, the involved people and vehicles were not specified.

However, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, officials confirmed.

For preliminary measures, extensive cleanup and investigation, authorities closed off Monument Boulevard between Lacey and Reganti Drive. The affected lanes were reopened at around 10:30 p.m.
