Car Crashes into Home on Auburn Way South in Auburn
AUBURN, WA (April 20, 2023) – The Auburn Police Department confirmed that one person died in a car crash on Auburn Way South on April 5.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at the Wildwood Mobile Estates in the 4000 block of Auburn Way South, shortly after 2:45 AM.
Based on a report, a 2002 GMC Denali was traveling eastbound on Auburn Way at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, its driver lost control and crashed into the home. The APD said the vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to a stop.
As a result, one woman in the vehicle suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
The three other occupants, all male, were critically injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers said speed played a factor in the crash.
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
