AURORA, CO (May 16, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department confirmed that one person died in a suspected DUI crash on Airport Boulevard on May 13.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Colfax Avenue around 4:29 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a 2011 Smart Car northbound in the southbound lanes prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, APD stated that it struck a 2014 Subaru Outback head-on.
 
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries and died at the hospital.
 
The driver of the Subaru suffered minor injuries in the crash.
 
Crash investigators said the Smart Car driver may have been drinking before the incident. However, an investigation into the case is ongoing. As of now, no other details are available.
