Fatal Bus Accident on 15 Freeway in Baker

 
BAKER, CA (December 16, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a bus accident on southbound 15 Freeway on December 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Rasor Road around 11:32 PM. Based on a report, a passenger bus with more than 50 occupants crashed in the lanes.
 
Upon arrival, emergency crews located it on its wheels, off the right shoulder of the freeway.
 
As a result, one person died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
In addition, emergency workers declared the scene a mass casualty incident because the number of patients exceeded the number of healthcare resources available. At least seven people suffered critical injuries and several others had minor injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
