Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles on Loop 101 in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ (September 14, 2023) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Loop 101 on September 9.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the Cardinals Way exit around 11:45 PM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was walking across the northbound lanes of Loop 101 at the time of the crash.

Due to unknown reasons, a first vehicle struck the victim. Then, a second vehicle hit the victim again. Both of drivers stayed on the scene.

As a result, troopers arrived and found the pedestrian in the roadway suffering from serious injuries. Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. They did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.

No one else was hurt in the crash.
