SPOKANE, WA (September 14, 2023) – The Spokane Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on West Francis Avenue on September 9.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of North Whitehouse Street. Based on a report, the pedestrian was on the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian sustained grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
SPD said crews closed Francis Avenue as they continued to investigate the deadly crash.
