Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Highway 36 in Westminster

 
WESTMINSTER, CO (September 14, 2023) – The Westminster Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 36 on September 8.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Sheridan Boulevard around 6:00 AM. Based on a report, the male victim was on the road and trying to cross the on-ramp to Highway 36.
 
He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a truck traveling across Sheridan Boulevard on the eastbound on-ramp hit him.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to the hospital, where he later died. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
