Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 610 Freeway in Houston

 
AUSTIN, TX (April 9, 2024) – The Houston Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on 610 Freeway on April 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Yale Street around 4:30 AM. Based on a report, the 44-year-old pedestrian was on the main lane of the freeway at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a car came and hit the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered graver injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Police said the driver remained at the scene and was not impaired.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
