DENVER, CO (October 2, 2023) – The Denver Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on 25 Freeway on September 26.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Happy Canyon Road shortly after 6:00 AM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck the pedestrian near the intersection. Troopers did not say why the pedestrian was on the interstate at the time.
 
As a result, the victim sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews closed the two left lanes of northbound side of the freeway, causing delay.
