LAS VEGAS, NV (March 13, 2024) – The Las Vegas Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on 215 Beltway on March 6.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at South Eastern Avenue shortly b after 3:30 AM. Based on a report, the 60-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross the road outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a white Jeep SUV driving north on South Eastern Avenue hit him.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at that scene. Officials did not release his victim, pending kin notification.
 
The crash also closed the northbound lanes of Eastern Avenue from Richmar Avenue to Candelaria Avenue.
 
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said speed and impairment were not a factor in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
