Suspected DUI Driver Involved in Fatal Accident on 10 Freeway in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 29, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that one person died in a suspected DUI accident on 10 Freeway on April 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near 67th Avenue. Based on a report, officials responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway.
 
Crews found two people with injuries from the incident. Phoenix fire crews transported the victims to the hospital, where one who was in extremely critical condition died. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
DPS officials said impairment was a possible factor in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
