Man in Custody after Bicycle Accident on 47th Avenue in Glendale

 
GLENDALE, AZ (April 29, 2024) – The Glendale Police Department confirmed that a 13-year-old boy suffered injuries in a bicycle accident on 47th Avenue on April 11.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Northern Avenue around 7:30 PM. Based on a report, the teen was riding his bike with other juveniles in the area when they began crossing the intersection.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene.
 
As a result, the teen victim suffered serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took him to the hospital in critical condition.
 
The driver of the vehicle turned himself in and was officially processed afterward.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. However, no other details are available.
