11-Year-Old Girl Struck and Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on 19th Street in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 29, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that an 11-year-old girl suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run on 19th Street on April 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at the intersection of Roeser Road around 4:00 PM. Based on a report, the girl was crossing the street in a marked school crosswalk at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a silver Mitsubishi Montero struck the girl and fled the scene.
 
As a result, the girl suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews transported her to the hospital for treatment.
