Experimental Plane Crash at Gila Bend Municipal Airport

 
GILA BEND, AZ (March 28, 2024) – The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a plane crash at the Gila Bend Municipal Airport on March 17.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened crashed around 9:40 AM. Based on a report, an experimental amateur-built air creation twin aircraft with two people on board crashed.
 
The National Transportation Safety Board said the plane just took off from the airport when the accident occurred.
 
As a report, the two occupants of the plane suffered serious injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported them to the hospital, where one of the victims died. The other victim remains in serious condition.
 
The Experimental Aircraft Association said there are currently 30,000 registered experimental planes with the FAA. He also said they are planes people can put together themselves by purchasing kits.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
