James Roden Identified in Fatal Accident on FM 1496 in Comanche County

 
COMANCHE COUNTY, TX (March 28, 2024) – Officials identified James Roden of De Leon who died in a motorcycle accident on FM 1496 on March 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near De Leon shortly before 9:30 PM. Based on a report, Roden was driving his motorcycle north on FM 1496 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to maintain a single lane and crossed into the path of an approaching 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler driver tried to take evasive action but Roden struck the side of his trailer.
 
As a result, Roden suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
No other injuries were reported in connection to this crash.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
