Fatal Solo Car Accident on Combs Road in Queen Creek
QUEEN CREEK, AZ (March 6, 2023) – Police confirmed that one person died in a car accident on Combs Road on March 3.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Gantzel Road around 4:30 AM. Based on a report, a vehicle was traveling at the intersection just north of Banner Ironwood Hospital at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, it collided with a traffic signal in the center median.
As a result, the driver of the car suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
Officials said the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.
Crews took the car passenger to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger said he fell asleep and woke up when the crash happened.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
