Passenger Killed in Tempe DUI Crash on Priest Drive
TEMPE, AZ (March 6, 2023) – Police confirmed that one person died in a suspected DUI crash on Priest Drive on March 4.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Elliot Road around 12:30 AM. Based on a report, a single vehicle was traveling on Priest nearing the intersection prior to the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, it crashed into a bus stop.
As a result, a passenger in the vehicle suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
Police said alcohol was a possible factor in this crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
