WASHOE COUNTY, NV (April 18, 2024) – Officials confirmed that one person died in an accident on 80 Freeway on April 9.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at USA Parkway around 6:49 PM. Based on a report, troopers responded and found a sedan and a commercial vehicle at the scene.
 
As a result, one of the three occupants of the sedan suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Another passenger in the sedan was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The commercial vehicle driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
