LAKEWOOD, CO (December 20, 2023) – The Lakewood Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Colfax Avenue on December 7.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Teller Street around 2:12 PM. Based on a report, a Ford pickup truck struck the woman in the lanes. Police found a damaged wheelchair in the middle of the street.
 
Emergency crews transported the woman to a hospital, where she died from her injuries. Officials did not yet release
 
The driver of the pickup truck was cited on a count of careless driving resulting in death.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
