Fatal Cloverdale DUI Crash on Geyserville Avenue

 
CLOVERDALE, CA (November 10, 2022) — A person died while another was arrested after a suspected DUI crash on Geyserville Avenue on Saturday afternoon, November 5.

The fatal incident occurred south of Zanzi Lane at around 3:47 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said a vehicle with three occupants traveled along Geyserville Avenue when it slammed into a tree.

The force of the impact ejected one of the passengers from the vehicle and inflicted major injuries to that person.

As a result, the victim died at the scene.

The driver and the other occupant then ran away from the accident. Police searched the area for the two missing suspects, both of whom were located on Asti Road and Dutcher Creek Road.

This led to the arrest of the driver involved, who received medical attention at the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Upon receiving medical clearance, officials booked the male driver into the Sonoma County Jail where he will face charges on felony driving under the influence, hit and run, vehicular manslaughter and delaying or resisting arrest.
