Fatal Colorado Springs Crash on East Platte Avenue at North Powers Boulevard

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (September 12, 2023) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that one person died in a multi-vehicle crash on East Platte Avenue on September 6.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at North Powers Boulevard shortly before 10:30 AM. Based on a report, three cars were stopped westbound on Platte Avenue prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a fourth vehicle came and hit the cars.
 
As a result, one of the drivers sustained grave injuries in the incident. When crews arrived, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
