Fatal Las Vegas Motorcycle Crash on South Rainbow Boulevard at West Sahara Avenue

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 15, 2022) – The Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed that a 57-year-old Las Vegas man died in a motorcycle crash on South Rainbow Boulevard on December 10.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at West Sahara Avenue around 10:00 PM. Based on a report, the rider of a 2015 Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout FXSB was on southbound South Rainbow Boulevard prior to the crash.
 
As he approached Sahara Avenue, his bike entered the left-hand turn lane, striking the raised center median. The force ejected him off his bike before he was hit by a 2016 Nissan Rogue.
 
As a result, the attending coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene. They did not yet release his name, pending next of kin notification.
 
Emergency crews did not report additional injuries.
 
The driver of the Nissan Rogue, 50-year-old Alain Smith, and the driver of the Altima, 21-year-old Gerisse Capulong, remained at the scene. Police said the parties did not show signs of impairment.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
