Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 10, 2023) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Platte Avenue on April 2.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Nevada Avenue around 2:10 PM. Based on a report, the motorcyclist was traveling east on Platte Avenue at the time of the crash.
 
While attempting to drive through the intersection, the motorcycle collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on Nevada.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Officials do not believe impairment to be a contributing factor. However, an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
