One Killed, Six Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Robinett Road at Gus Drive in Killeen
KILLEEN, TX (April 11, 2023) – The Killeen Police Department confirmed that a 45-year-old man died in a multi-vehicle crash on Robinett Road on April 7.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Gus Drive around 8:58 PM. Based on a report, the victim was a passenger in a red sedan that was traveling on Robinett Road at the time of the crash.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the sedan collided with three other vehicles. One car came to rest after it struck a nearby residence.
As a result, emergency crews located the unconscious victim in the passenger of the car. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Crews sent four victims to Baylor Scott & White in Temple, one to Advent Health and one to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights all in stable condition.
Police said speed and weather were potential contributing factors to the crash.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
