Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway at 54th Avenue East in Fife

 
FIFE, WA (August 2, 2023) – Officials confirmed that a 48-year-old woman died in a motorcycle accident on 5 Freeway on July 19.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 54th Avenue East around 3:20 AM. Based on a report, a 48-year-old woman was driving a motorcycle near the intersection prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, the driver of a white BMW was speeding in the lanes. Subsequently, the BMW hit the motorcycle and ended up on its roof about a mile away from the scene.
 
As a result, the woman died in the incident.
 
The driver of the car fled the scene. WSP said the suspect was a 20-year-old man from Auburn who was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
