PUEBLO WEST, CO (November 28, 2023) – The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on South Joe Martinez Boulevard on November 16.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Purcell Boulevard shortly after 8:00 PM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the street at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a Jeep that was going southbound on Purcell Boulevard struck the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
The 26-year-old driver of the Jeep was not injured.
 
Deputies do not believe alcohol, drugs, or speed were factors in the accident. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
