Marcus Harris, Natalie Gage-Avila Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Seguin

 
SEGUIN, TX (November 26, 2023) – The Seguin Police Department identified 23-year-old Natalie Jean Gage-Avila of New Braunfels and 37-year-old Marcus Keshawn Harris of Luling who died in a crash on Highway 46 on November 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Cordova Road just before 1:00 AM. Based on a report, a Jeep Cherokee was traveling southbound while a Chrysler 300 was at the opposite direction of Highway 46.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the Jeep Cherokee veered into the northbound lanes and hit the Chrysler 300 head-on. Officers arrived to find the Chrysler 300 engulfed in flames and the Jeep Cherokee with extensive damage from the collision. Subsequently, two other vehicles struck some of the nearby debris.
 
As a result, Gage-Avila and Harris suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. The two were the drivers of the vehicles.
 
A passenger inside one of the vehicles was taken by EMS to a local hospital. The two other drivers received care from EMS crews at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
