DENVER, CO (January 9, 2024) – The Denver Police Department confirmed that one person died in a suspected hit-and-run on East 53rd Avenue on January 1.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at North Chambers Road around 5:00 AM. Based on a report, a blue Dodge Caravan was driving northbound on North Chambers Road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, it collided with a gray Acura SUV that the victim was a passenger in. The occupants of the Dodge abandoned the minivan after the crash.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
