Fatal Elgin Car Crash on County Line Road

 
ELGIN, TX (March 14, 2023) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a crash on County Line Road on March 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened a mile south of Highway 290 shortly before 9:00 PM. When medics arrived at the scene, two of the five people involved were pinned inside a vehicle.
 
An attending coroner pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The other victim who was pinned was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical injuries. In addition, emergency crews treated three other people at the scene for minor injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
