SKAMANIA COUNTY, WA (October 25, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a fiery crash on Highway 14 on October 15.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at milepost 54 around 4:05 PM.

Based on a report, a red passenger car tried to pass a commercial vehicle on the eastbound side of the highway. At that time, a westbound passenger car went to the right shoulder to avoid hitting the red passenger car head-on.

As of now, WSP detectives are looking for the driver of the red car. In addition, they ask anyone who was in the area between 3:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. and has dash-cam video to review their recordings of the red car and contact Detective Dave Ortner at 360-449-7942 or [email protected].
