Fatal Bicycle Accident on 59th Avenue in Glendale

 
GLENDALE, AZ (October 23, 2024) – The Glendale Police Department confirmed that one person died in a bicycle accident on 59th Avenue on October 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Camelback Road around 9:45 AM. Based on a report, the victim was riding a bicycle on 59th Avenue at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle traveling south on the same road struck the bicycle.
 
As a result, the bicyclist suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Authorities did not release the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
The vehicle’s driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police. Police currently do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
