Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on West Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 23, 2024) — A man died in a hit-and-run on West Sahara Avenue on Sunday, October 13.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the initial accident happened at about 4:41 a.m. on West Sahara Avenue near South Valley View Boulevard.
 
The initial investigation determined that a white 2021 Honda Accord sedan moved east on Sahara. At the same time, a 55-year-old man tried to cross West Sahara Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
Then the man entered the Honda’s path. The front of the vehicle struck his left side, pushing the man onto the roadway. After that, the Honda left the area without the driver checking on the pedestrian.
 
The man sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
