LUBBOCK, TX (December 19, 2022) – The Lubbock Police Department confirmed that a wheelchair-bound pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by an SUV in the 2100 block of 19th Street on Tuesday night.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 11:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was in a wheelchair on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an SUV struck the person.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered moderate injuries in the incident. Officers responded and transported the victim to University Medical Center for treatment.
