Nancy Rodriguez Identified in Fatal Car Crash on 45 Freeway in Madison County

 
MADISON COUNTY, TX (December 19, 2022) – Police identified 32-year-old Nancy Rodriguez of Dallas as the victim who died in a head-on crash on 45 Freeway on December 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened one mile north of Madisonville at approximately 5:55 PM. Based on a report, a 2000 Toyota 4Runner was traveling northbound on the freeway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, Rodriguez was driving a 2012 Kia Forte on the southbound lane. Due to unknown reasons, the Kia failed to maintain a single lane and went into the northbound lane before colliding with the Toyota head-on.
 
As a result, Madison County Justice of the Peace Jon Stevens pronounced Rodriguez dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the Toyota, 39-year-old Veronica Camacho of Madisonville, suffered critical injuries. Crews transported her to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital.
 
A nine-year-old girl in the vehicle was also transported to Texas Children’s Hospital – Houston in critical condition.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
