DENVER, CO (January 16, 2024) — A person died in a pedestrian accident on East Florida Avenue on Friday, December 15.
 
According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 10:00 p.m., deputies and Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene of the accident.
 
The sheriff’s office closed both directions of East Florida Avenue between South Alton Street and South Willow Street for several hours during the investigation.
 
Deputies later said the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the crash and died. They have not released their identity and city of residence.
