One Dead in Bicycle Accident on Decatur Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 7, 2025) — One person died in a bicycle accident on Decatur Boulevard on Tuesday, February 4.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 3:50 a.m. at Tropicana Avenue and Decatur Boulevard in the southwest valley.
 
Investigators determined that the driver was heading south on Decatur Boulevard. Then the bicyclist attempted to cross the road south of the intersection. After that, the vehicle struck the cyclist.
 
Emergency responders transported the victim to the hospital with critical injuries. However, they later died. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities confirmed that impairment was not a factor.
 
Officials closed the intersection for several hours as police investigated the crash.
