Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 50 in Carson City

 
CARSON CITY, NV (March 8, 2023) – The Carson City Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 50 East on March 1.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the 4900 block of Highway 50 around 6:17 PM.
 
Based on a report, the pedestrian was on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle struck the victim.
 
As a result, officers responded and found the victim dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed and cooperated with investigators.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
