Fatal Bicycle Accident on South Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 2, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that one person died in a bicycle accident on South Nellis Boulevard on September 23.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Blanton Drive shortly after 8:30 PM. Based on a report, a 2014 Dodge Challenger lost control and hit the bicyclist, knocking him to the ground.
 
The Dodge then continued along and then hit the curb and drove over a sidewalk. Subsequently, it drove off the road and crashed into a fence and a parked car.
 
As a result, the bicyclist sustained grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where he died. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Police stated that the driver stayed at the crash site and did not display any signs of impairment.
 
As of now, the investigation into the crash continues. In addition, no other details are available.
