BEAUMONT, TX (October 20, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a bicycle accident on College Street on October 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the O’Reilly Auto Parts and M&D Supply at 23rd Street just before 9:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the victim who was in a bicycle at that time. Officials did not yet state the details that led to the crash.
 
As a result, the victim died at an area hospital. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
In addition, the accident briefly shut down eastbound traffic.
